November is the perfect time to pause, count our blessings, and give thanks for the simple things in life.

If we pause to think, we will have cause to thank.

Every day in November I want to make sure I stop and remember all of the beautiful blessings I have in my life and give thanks. I hope you join me in giving thanks for the simple things in life during this month of thanksgiving.

Day 16: I am thankful today for home cooked meals. My husband and I eat out a fair amount each week, but we are trying to make more of an effort to eat more meals at home. I am no Betty Crocker for sure, but I can typically whip up something tasty to eat and there is an amount (not huge or small) of satisfaction that comes from cooking for myself and my husband. Last night was spaghetti with garlic bread, tonight was filet mignon for me, tuna steak for hubby, with brown rice and asparagus. Tomorrow will be pot roast if I can remember to put it in the crock pot tomorrow at lunch. Maybe one day I will get more satisfaction out of cooking. 🙂
